Community Description: Town & Town & Country Awesome! (4641) Two Bedroom Home for Rent 215 NW 82nd St. Lawton, Oklahoma 73505 1) THE SETTING: On the western edge of Lawton, this is the most beautiful, secluded spot in town. Two houses on 15 acres are out in the \"woods\", yet 5 minutes from town and 10 minutes from Fort Sill. See it on Google Maps satellite. We are located on the NE corner of Gore Blvd. and 82nd St. in Lawton. The setting is rural, and the house is at the end of a long, tree lined gravel driveway, 800 feet from 82nd Street. A creek in the forest winds through the length of our 15 acres, with well-maintained walking trails on both sides and hidden side paths for exploring. A sheltered clearing features a campfire ideal for unwinding in the evenings or hosting friends and colleagues. Wildlife, such as rabbit, armadillo, possum, squirrel, a variety of birds, deer, bobcat, coyote, and turkeys are visitors. We feed the deer, songbirds, squirrels, and turkeys, encouraging them to return and creating a peaceful, storybook setting. This is the most appealing home site in all of Lawton. In the clearing a sturdy footbridge offers an easy crossing over the water. From there, you can walk north into Wyatt Acres-Lawton\'s most established, and respected neighborhood. You are also welcome to walk south into the quiet, undeveloped \"wild lands\" of open pasture in a truly peaceful escape. There is a small unused stock pond (with a paddle boat) only 200 feet from your house. There are some good size bass and other fish in it. An evening walk in good weather is an exceptional experience to be anticipated daily. In short, if you like seclusion in the country, natural beauty, and the feeling of being in the country while still in town, this is the place to be. 2) Interior Condition: The house was vacated on August 31, 2025, and is in excellent, renovated condition. Most renters have been junior officers, (01,02, & 03) and all have appreciated this beautiful and secluded home. The house has new flooring, new dishwasher, much new paint, new window blinds, and has been brought to as new condition as possible. It is clean and very nice. 3) Size and Layout: There are 1200 square feet of heated living space with two large, carpeted bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet. The restroom is standard, with exhaust fan, ceiling heater, shower and tub. A large storage closet in the hall just outside the restroom. There is an open living and kitchen area, with a convenient laundry room and broom closet next to the kitchen. Another door from the kitchen leads to the clean but unfinished, unheated, well-lit and large storage attic. It runs the full length of the house and provides plenty of inside storage. There is also a storage area in front of your two cars in the garage. (Talk to me if you need even more storage.) There is a double wide parking pad in front of the garage and much additional parking available for guests. 4) Appliances: The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, disposal, microwave, and new dishwasher. There is a ceiling fan, cable outlet, and telephone outlet in the front room and both bedrooms. The smoke and CO alarms are in the hall. Ceiling fans are in both bedrooms and the front room. The central heat/air and water heater are conventional with heat supplied by propane. (Dryer hook up and cook stove are electric) 5) Outside: There is a large yard on all four sides with a flower garden in front. The back yard is fenced with 4-foot chain link. (Friendly pets are welcome but, threatening, angry, or biting dogs are not welcome.) The covered front porch is 5 X 39 feet and good for sitting with coffee in the morning to watch for the deer and turkey coming to feed. The covered back porch is 10 X 34 feet and best in the evening watching for turkeys, or for entertaining. 6) Business, Services, and Utilities: Your water, trash, and sewer are all provided. I will mow your lawn when I mow. Edging and trimming is your responsibility. You provide the remaining utilities and propane. (Phone, electric, cable, computer, TV, etc.) I ask that you plan to stay at least a year, just for the sake of efficiency. This house is large enough for a couple. You will buy the propane existing in the tank at arrival and all refills. When you move, I will buy from you what remains in the tank. I live next door with a good workshop. Any repairs you may need are quick and efficient. Leave the house as clean as you found it when you move. Questions and tours are welcome. Call if you would like to talk about it.
